Check your insurance coverage carefully to anticipate the costs you&#8217;ll incur before your appointment. If you don&#8217;t have ALUMO (formerly ASEQ) insurance, you can locate nearby dentists on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.odq.qc.ca\/en\/find-a-dentist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ordre des dentistes du Qu\u00e9bec website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-title\">\n<h2>Other healthcare specialists<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Before consulting other healthcare specialists (acupuncture, physiotherapy, chiropractic, psychology, sexology, optometry, etc.), make sure your insurance coverage covers this specialty. If you have symptoms, call 1 877 644 4545 for a referral.<\/p>\n<p>If you test positive for COVID-19, it isn\u2019t grounds for removal from the country. Use the following site to find a private clinic in the Qu\u00e9bec City area: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clinique-privee.ca\/fr\/capitale-nationale\/depistage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clinique-priv\u00e9e.ca<\/a> [site in French only]<\/p>\n<p>To get tested for COVID-19 <strong>because you are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19<\/strong>, because you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, or for any other reason:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>You have to meet certain criteria to be able to get tested in a testing centre. To find out what the criteria are and where testing centres are, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/testing-for-covid-19\/get-covid-19-test\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Get a COVID-19 test<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t meet the criteria for being able to get tested in a testing centre, you can get a COVID-19 rapid test. These tests are available from various locations, like pharmacies. Before you go to a pharmacy, contact the pharmacy to see whether they have any rapid tests available. Fees will be apply to get the covid tests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/testing-for-covid-19\/rapid-home-testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rapid testing<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/testing-for-covid-19\/reporting-rapid-test-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reporting rapid test results<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Vaccination<\/h4>\n<p>In Qu\u00e9bec, vaccines are distributed through the Qu\u00e9bec Immunization Program. You can\u2019t get vaccine doses on the private market. The vaccine is available free of charge to anyone living in Qu\u00e9bec regardless of their status or insurance coverage. This includes people with a study permit and people waiting for a decision on their legal status.<\/p>\n<p>Once in Qu\u00e9bec, you can book an appointment to receive the vaccine. Although the vaccine is free, there may be administrative fees if you get the vaccine in a pharmacy. So, we recommend that you book an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/get-vaccinated-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appointment at a vaccination centre<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to have a RAMQ number (Qu\u00e9bec public health insurance number) to get vaccinated.
