If you must be quarantined, you won’t be able to use public transportation to get to where you will be quarantining.

Transportation from the airport

Once you arrive at Québec City’s Jean Lesage International Airport you will have the option of taking a taxi to the University.

You can take the RTC (Réseau de Transport de la Capitale) bus number 76 (cost of $3.75 with exact change in payment to the driver or purchase a ticket at a vending machine for $3.25). This trip is offered every 30 minutes from 5am to 11pm. Ask the driver to guide you to a stop where you can board bus number 800 (to Beauport) or 801 (to Charlesbourg). These buses run at a high frequency throughout the day and will take you to Universté Laval.

BUYING BUS TICKETS

You can purchase bus tickets through the ticket vending machines.

The closer vending machine available 24 hours a day will be:

  • At the Jean-Lesage International Airport in Québec City, near Gate C – Departures

AVAILABLE TICKETS

The vending machine allows you to purchase 2 tickets encoded on an Occasional card and a 1-day pass, also encoded on an Occasional card.

PAYMENT METHODS

Credit cards: Visa Paywave and Mastercard Paypass with contactless technology
Interac Flash: Contactless technology only
Mobile device: Common applications such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are accepted

The RTC Nomad mobile app (available on IOS and Android) allows you to purchase tickets via the “Payments” section. Only credit card are accepted to proceed with the payment.

To use the app, you need internet access (Wi-Fi) on your phone.

Upon arrival at the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, you have the option to take a taxi to get to Université Laval (about $30).

You can also take the RTC (Réseau de Transport de la Capitale) bus number 76 for $3.75 (provide the exact change). This trip is offered every 30 minutes from 5am to 11pm. At the Sainte-Foy bus station, you can board a bus number 800 (heading to Beauport) or 801 (heading to Charlesbourg). These buses run at a high frequency throughout the day and will take you to Université Laval University. Please take note that you will need to provide an extra 3.50$ to take another bus.
